Brief History

Anderson + Anderson International Quantity Surveyors was established by M P  Donaghey FRICS at the beginning of January 1974.  Anderson + Anderson International Quantity Surveyors has a full complement of qualified staff and provides an independent quantity surveying service to the public under Quantity Surveyors Act No. 37 of 1995 of the Laws of Zambia for all types of developments. 

Anderson + Anderson International Quantity Surveyors is part of an integrated multi disciplinary practice which provides a full range of professional architectural and surveying services within the construction industry.  

In additional to being part of the Multi-disciplinary practice, Anderson + Anderson International Quantity Surveyors provides consultancy to other independent Architectural and Engineering firms. 

The services provided by the firm include; 

  • Initial budget estimates at project inception

  •  Bills of Quantities and tender documents

  • Valuations of work done and materials on site for payment certificates

  • Cost control and Financial Reporting

  • Cash flows

  • Settlement of contractual claims

  • Preparation and agreement of final accounts

  • Project management services

  • Dilapidation reports

The Quantity Surveying personnel to be tasked for the project to provide the required expertise and necessary logistics, comprises Alfred Y Kasito, Brian Taylor and Joseph Ngulube. 

This Quantity Surveying team will be responsible for the planning and elaboration of the Conditions of Contract, on-site condition survey and documentation, preparation of Bills of Quantities and other tender documents, valuation of works during construction, periodical cost reporting and general contract administrations.
